Measure the length of the 10 coils with measurement tape. On below table locate wire size according to your measured length of the 10 coils. To make sure your got wire size correctly you can measure 20 coils and locate wire size in table below table. If both measurements match you got right measurements. If not, try in different area of the spring. Make sure there is no gaps between wire to avoid incorrect measurements.

Inside Diameter (ID) needs measure the to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.
To measure spring accurately make sure to take spring tension off to its unwound position. Otherwise, measurements will be off by few inches.
If spring is still in one piece: Please make sure to measure spring from end to end.
If spring broken in half or more: Measure each spring coil and add measurements together to get total length.
